Tough week, but not just for me...

Dear all, its been a terribly hard week, toots, my cat is still missing, its been 11 days and I'm totally beside myself.
She went missing once in london for almost a month!! So hopefully she's just being a little terror and she's gone off for a wander. But I'm so so worried that's she's trying to make her way back to london? She moved up to my mums house 3 months ago and was really well settled so it would seem odd to be honest. However one of the reasons for her disappearance is that there was a crash outside our house on Friday night, a 17 year old boy crashed into the wall and totally ruined his car so this would have been such a loud noise for her if shed been nearby and maybe she's sitting terrified somewhere? Hopefully at some point she'll re emerge and come home but I'm heartbroken over her disappearance.

She is so precious to me.

I've been following jade goody in the news these last few weeks. Talk about sad. Its amazing how courageous she's being, I can't imagine what she's going through right now but it just goes to show that the ones you least expect end up being heroes. She is truly heroic in her bravery. What a courageous woman. I totally support her plight in lowering the age for a smear.

Its 20 in scotland and 25 in england. I was so lucky when I was younger cos my mum made me go for a smear when I was 19, my gp did it and found pre cancerous cells. I had them burnt away by laser surgery, truly painful experience and thankfully nothing ever came off it but imagine what would have happened if it had gone undetected for yrs. I would probably have developed cancer by now.

I think its disgraceful that the nhs isn't insistent on women of 16!! Having smears. Lord knows how I managed to get pre cancerous cells at 19. Something should seriously be done about it and jade goody wil go down in history as the ultimate tragedy of this disease cos we know that if she'd been educated, like so many other woman, by our health system of the dangers of cervical cancer she would be living a full life right now. I will continue to fight jade's campaign well after she's gone.

Any woman who feels strongly about this should come forward and get this law changed in honour of jade and her family. She deserves that kind of camaraderie. S xxx

Never give up - I lost one of my gorgeous cats during a large thunderstorm, I had posters everywhere, friends out etc. Some 14 months later a lady saw a faded notice in a window and said she had seen a "found" sign in another store some 10 klm away with a description of my cat. I rang the number, went over and collected her that night. The people weren't keen to give her up and so for a few months she went over for weekends to visit. Hope you find her soon though.

Hi Sandi. We work at Toots' local vet. Just had your mum in again, so we've now got the poster up on our board. We've been on the lookout for Toots, really hope that she appears soon. Louise & Claire. x
