Friday, September 08, 2006Bonjour dudes! Hey everybody, how are we all? I'm sat in my record label in sunny Paris and I thought I'd use the time productively and drop you a quick message to say hey.We arrived here last night having spent the day in Germany. The weather there was amazing! I couldn't believe it. I did my best to blag a few free cd's from the record label whilst I was there too. Oh how I love free stuff! The flight to Paris was so scary. There was a huge lightining storm outside and the plane was shaking all over the place. Mind you, I think my manager was more scared than I was! It's been a pretty mad day today, doing promo for French radio and TV. Punk Rocker is the 2nd most requested song on the biggest radio station over here. I'm so pleased!Off to see Kasabian tonight, I can't wait. They're staying in the same hotel as me so I'm thinking a bit of partying tonight is on the cards :-)Anyway, best be off. I'm getting called now. I'm on a french TV show tomorrow called Taratata which is a huge live music show. My band are on their way over now so we're gonna go and meet them from the station. Will give you another update next week when I'm in the good old U S of A!Big love,Sandi X :-)
Performed in one of the coolest radio stations today, it was called WXPN / World Cafe in Philadelphia. Big, spacious, clean, loads of great equipment in the live session studio - far cry from the basement! Although I am missing my smelly, dirty, dark and dingy little room that lies beneath! Now we are on our way to LA! Amazing, I can't believe we're getting to go to all the cool places! I wonder what LA will be like!
Woop woop... a weekend off... in New York! Gay Pride is on this weekend, and you know what that means... lots of men will be parading around in their pants! but sorry ladies, unfortunately none of them will be available!! it was a great spectacle though, great vibes in New York this weekend.
The coolest thing we did today was visit the radio station where Howard Stern hosts his show. I did an interview and performed Punk Rocker live, the show's presenters were so nice! Met up with the MD of the station and he told me Puck Rocker is receiving great response! nice one New York!!!
